China firmly opposes hegemonic, domineering and bullying practices in international relations.

I. Reasons from China's Diplomatic Principles

Upholding Sovereign Equality
   China adheres to the principle of sovereign equality of all countries. Hegemonic behavior often violates the sovereignty of other countries. For example, some powerful countries may interfere in other countries' internal affairs under various pretexts, which is a blatant disregard for the basic rights of sovereign states. China believes that each country has the right to independently determine its own political, economic and social systems without external coercion.
Promoting Multilateralism
   China is a strong advocate of multilateralism. Hegemony tends to undermine the international multilateral system. In contrast, China actively participates in international organizations such as the United Nations and promotes cooperation within multilateral frameworks. China believes that international affairs should be jointly managed by all countries through equal dialogue and cooperation, rather than being dominated by one or a few powerful countries.

II. China's Actions in Opposing Hegemony

Diplomatic Advocacy
   China's spokespersons often voice China's opposition to hegemonic behavior at international press conferences. They state China's position clearly, calling on the international community to jointly resist any form of power politics. China also conducts diplomatic consultations with other countries that share similar views, promoting the formation of a united front against hegemony.
Economic Cooperation and South South Cooperation
   In economic cooperation, China promotes equal footed economic cooperation with other countries. For example, in the Belt and Road Initiative, China emphasizes win win cooperation. It is different from the economic exploitation model of some hegemonic powers in history. China's South South cooperation also aims to strengthen the economic strength of developing countries together, enhancing their voice in international economic relations and breaking the monopoly of some developed countries in international economic governance.

Defending International Order
   China plays an active role in maintaining international peace and security. In international hot spot issues, China promotes dialogue and negotiation solutions, rather than using force or coercion as some hegemonic countries might do. China's participation in peacekeeping operations and international anti terrorism cooperation is also part of its efforts to uphold a just and reasonable international order.
